He completed his undergraduate studies at AUA (1972), and subsequently received his MA (1977 to 1979) and a PhD (1979 to 1982) at Cornell University USA with scholarships from the SSF. He is now Professor of Agricultural Engineering at AUA.

RESEARCH INTERESTS: environmental management, climate change, energy systems, Water Resources Management, Network Management water, plant and animal housing, Hydroponics, Integrated Management of Production, food traceability, GIS and Precision Agriculture, Robotics agricultural processes, advanced automation, mechanization and automation in the field of Agriculture, SCADA systems.
